The power cord receptacle has been replaced with a standard 3-prong socket but is very nicely done and is the only modification that has been done to the receiver. The serial number is 18XX and the date on the calibrator crystal is June 1962. The 51S-1 is a quality communications receiver, built mainly for commercial and military use.
